In the spectral sapphire room
of her memento mori at Gangkhar Puensum
where the timbre weighs somnolent
and no human eyes ever behold her,
Ratridevi intones her nuanced song
a slow tempo fantasia of peace
painting vividly all imagined heavens
with an intensity of crepuscular delight
denaturing seams of star-trail dreamscapes
her semiotic enchantments, fragments of entangled
thought-forms in an unbounded universe beyond language
azure moon-glow midnights of another dimension
enduring wildness unfurls
snow leopard silence reigns
caesura between verses
thunder dragon roars an
ancient tongue of lost symbols
an imploding singularity of meaning
Ratridevi sighs her secret
descends from mountain peak to
soul-vale, bathed in violet light
Posted for Lynn’s excellent Poetics prompt at dVerse: Summit in Sight. This poem is a continuation of a poem I wrote in 2012: Lexical Shangri-La: Here be Dragons.
Beautiful, and with a perfect photographic accompaniment. I love the mythical story aspect.
Thank you, Voiceless2010, I find poetic language conducive to mythic tales.
Love the song, which seems so dreamy-like, yet capturing the spiritual journey:
painting vividly all imagined heavens
with an intensity of crepuscular delight
denaturing seams of star-trail dreamscapes
Thanks for joining us Anna ~
Yes, a journey we all travel in our way and colored by our own context. Thanks so much for the visit, Grace.
I love “no human eyes ever behold her/Ratridevi intones her nuanced song/a slow tempo fantasia of peace”, (she being goddess of the night). So many mythological images in this, Anna, and love your ending verse and that last line…”bathed in violet light.”
Thank you, Bodhirose, I love to paint pictures of mythic imaginings.
Mythos beyond reality, a glimpse beyond what we can process; a fine job, & excellent use of uncommon & technical terms (as per your sparkling style). Thanks for your visit & nice comment over at my place.
Thanks for returning the visit, Glenn. My comment to you was well deserved, your birds flew off the screen!
This is so very dreamy! 🙂
Thank you, seemed appropriate for the symbolism and myth.
The altitude of your vocabulary left me a bit breathless, Anna!
Hee, hee, nice one, Lynn!
